Day 1 - Depart USA Board your
overnight transatlantic flights from your home town. Meals are
served on board.
Day 2 - Arrive Medjugorje After an early morning
arrival in Frankfurt (Munich or Vienna) you will connect flights
to Dubrovnik (Split or Sarajevo). Upon arrival, you'll meet your
fellow pilgrims and your spiritual leader. You'll also be greeted
by a tour guide and driver who will then take you on the 3 hour
drive by private motor coach to the village of Medjugorje. This
guide will be with your throughout your stay in Medjugorje.
Days 3 to 8 - Medjugorje Experience the beauty
and peace of this simple village. During your stay in Medjugorje
you will have the opportunity to share faith with thousands of
pilgrims from all over the world. Our local guide will accompany
us throughout the week.
Here are some of the activities we'll be
sharing with our fellow pilgrims:
Each morning at 10am we assemble at St James Church for the English-language
Mass (Feast days and Sundays English Mass is at Noon). Follow
the same path up Apparition Hill where the young visionaries first
encountered Our Lady. Pray before the statue of Our Lady that
commemorates the spot where Mary first appeared to the visionaries.
Each evening at 5pm or 6pm daylight savings time the evening program
starts in the church. This is the high pick of your day in Medjugorje.
Evening program starts with the rosary then the apparition takes
place at 5:40pm or 6:40 daylight savings time after which we stay
for International Pilgrim mass. Mass is in Croatian but the Gospel
is read in all languages from which the pilgrims have come on
that day. Each evening after mass there is the Blessing of the
Sick and blessing of the religious items. On Wednesday, Thursday
and Saturdays we have Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and on
Fridays Veneration of the Holy Cross in the Church.
Our guide will arrange meetings with the visionaries
and different visits. We will climb Apparition Hill and Cross
Mountain. We will visit Oasis of Peace and Cenacolo, also will
have an excursion to Siroki Brijeg to visit father Jozo Zovko.
Day 9 - Medjugorje - USA We leave from Medjugorje
to airport Split (Dubrovnik or Sarajevo) for return flights home. |
